This skirt can be made from any woven fabric. Mid to heavy-weight fabrics (e.g., twill, denim) will produce stiffer folds and stand out from the body, while light-weight fabrics (e.g., challis, crepe de chine) will drape straight down from the hips in flowing fullness to the hem.
